The 20,000 square foot villa and includes two indoor and two outdoor lounges, a dining room with a view centered on the pool out to the ocean, and an outdoor bar area. Two buildings arranged in an “L”. A low connecting piece between them contains the entry, dining room, an outdoor lounge and outdoor bar. The connector floats above the ground forming a plinth, centered on a view of the pool and ocean beyond. The two main buildings are conceived of as floating rectangles that have come to rest on volumes that engage the ground. Coralina screens on the upper floors screen shower areas, allowing a sublime experience of bathing with views out to the pool and ocean, while ensuring privacy from being seen. Screens on the lower floor, at the outdoor bar, shade the open air area from the afternoon sun, shield views to the neighboring properties while still providing glimpses out to the lush gardens behind the house. All of the gigantic window-door panels open at the public levels, creating seamless flow from inside to outside, from gardens to pool.
The home boasts a media room with music system, large flat screen, DVD, karaoke, billiards, and a business center for those who need to stay in touch. All eight bedrooms include ensuites, air conditioned and with iPod docks. Five bedrooms have King beds.
Outdoor living includes a 156 foot dramatic three edge infinity edge pool creating a seamless edge of water in front of the ocean, hiding terraces at cliff edge that allow visitors to experience the ocean’s roar as waves break on the rocks below. Beaches are a 6 minute walk – Playa Caleton’s stretch of soft white sand is one of the most exclusive and secluded with ample shade provided by towering coco palms and almond trees scattering the beach.
